Dr. Christine (Chrissi) Miles is an experienced educator, curriculum leader, and equity-focused consultant specializing in Understanding by Design® (UbD), performance assessment, and large-scale educational change. She has taught across the PK–doctoral continuum and served as a school and district leader before joining Grant Wiggins’ Authentic Education, where she managed curriculum and professional development projects rooted in backward design.

Chrissi’s experiences also include leading statewide professional learning, policy strategy, and educator leadership development efforts for one of the largest education associations in the country. She partners with schools and organizations to design coherent, student-centered curricula, implement sustainable improvement initiatives, and foster shared leadership across systems. Chrissi has experience guiding educators in the strategic use of artificial intelligence to enhance instruction and promote equity in classrooms.

Her work is grounded in justice, community, and capacity-building—amplifying educator voice, cultivating empowered teams, and helping organizations translate their values into bold, sustainable action.
